Corrections Policy — ByTheMath
How we handle errors — reported, reviewed, corrected, and logged.
Our commitment
Factual accuracy is the foundation of what we publish. When errors occur — and they will — we correct them promptly, disclose them clearly, and log them permanently. We do not silently edit errors without acknowledgment.
Types of errors we correct
Rate errors. If a published APY, fee, or minimum deposit is incorrect, we update the record and log the correction with the date, the erroneous value, the correct value, and the source used for verification.
Factual errors in prose. If editorial content contains a factual error — an incorrect date, a misattributed figure, or a factually wrong statement — we correct the text and note the correction at the bottom of the relevant page.
Scoring errors. If a product’s score was calculated incorrectly due to a formula error or data entry mistake, we recalculate, correct, and re-rank. Score corrections are disclosed on the methodology page if they result in a material change to rankings.
How to report an error
Email contact@yourbestsavings.com with the subject line “Data correction.” Include the URL of the affected page, the specific error, and — if possible — a source URL showing the correct information.
We review all correction requests and respond within one business day. If the correction is confirmed, it is applied to the database immediately. If we cannot confirm an error, we will explain why.
What we don’t change
We do not alter historical rate records. Once a rate change is logged to product_rate_history it is permanent. This maintains the integrity of the historical record even if it reflects a rate that has since changed again.
Corrections log
Significant corrections (any change that affects a published ranking, a featured rate, or a factual claim in editorial content) are logged below with date, affected page, and nature of the correction.
No corrections have been logged to date.
